- The Victron temperature sensor connects directly to either pole of the battery and monitors the temperature of the battery bank
- The temperature measurement is used to adjust battery capacity to temperature (which is extremely important to prolong battery life)
- The available battery capacity decreases with temperature, the inverter will also vary the charge current based on temperature
